Abstract<\/h2>\n

This study is of interest for men over 40 years old who suffer from lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) against the background of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), as well as proctologists, urologists, therapists, and adaptive physical culture instructors. In the course of the study, the urgency of the problem was assessed, the analysis of classical methods of treatment and methods of yoga and adaptive physical culture was carried out. To date, there are no specific recommendations for the rehabilitation of patients with BPH, enshrined in the ICD, the world community has initiated very few studies of the effect of the level of physical activity on the problem. In this regard, a yoga therapeutic complex of exercises was developed and tested on a group of subjects, aimed at improving the quality of life of patients and reducing the manifestation of symptoms of the lower urinary tract.
\nThe study involved 13 people, 9 of whom reached the end of the study, and 4 formed a control group. The average age of men was 51 years. The average severity of the disease among the subjects at the beginning of the experiment on the IPSS scale was assessed as «Moderate». Yoga therapy lasted 6 weeks, during which time the men performed the main training complex, consisting of aerobic, strength and relaxation blocks, 3-5 times a week for 40 minutes in the morning. On the remaining days, only exercises were performed to improve the control of the pelvic floor muscles, decrease the sympathetic activity of the nervous system, anxiety and swelling in the pelvic area for 10-20 minutes.
\nTwo weeks after the end of the program, the average improvement in the quality of life of the participants was 25%, and the average reduction in the occurrence of LUTS was 30%. In this case, the result is statistically significant for p = 0.05.<\/p>\n
