Ekaterinburg, Russia. <\/p>\n<p align=\"right\"><strong>Agapkin S.N.  <\/strong><br \/>\n ITSO Rector, PhD Moscow, Russia.<\/p>\n<p align=\"right\"><strong> <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Abstract<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong>: To develop a preventive program that effectively improves the ability to maintain balance in a group of 40+ yoga practitioners who do not have noticeable everyday balance problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Methods and participants: <\/strong>When creating the program, the literature on the mechanisms and methods of ensuring postural stability and the possibilities for improving it was analyzed. To evaluate the effectiveness of the developed program, the following tests were used: FRT (functional reaching or coverage), the complicated Romberg test and the Y-Balance Test Station (a test of dynamic balance in three directions). The study involved 16 women aged 40 to 65 years, who had already been involved in fitness and yoga for at least 1 year, regularly about twice a week, were socially active, busy and not ready to allocate additional time for special programs to improve balance. The group studied according to the original program for 2 months. There were 16 face-to-face classes, the average number of visits was 12 times. Testing was conducted before and after the program according to a single protocol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong> Classes according to the program significantly improved balance indicators on<br \/>\n average for the group, which is confirmed by the test data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusions: <\/strong>Interval isometric training with integrated balance elements is an effective method for improving balance indicators. Such training saves time, is suitable for group classes, is a preventive intervention in terms of balance disorders and falls, and can be recommended to a wide audience. Testing this program on a larger group would make the results more reliable and would allow us to identify correlations between the training effect and age, number of classes attended, anthropometric indicators, and, possibly, parallel improvements in strength, endurance, psycho-emotional stability, and cognitive abilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> Balance, postural balance, ataxia,
