Abstract<\/h2>\n

Objective<\/strong>: Development of the most effective method of physical therapy using yoga therapy, exercise therapy, and SEAS methods for treating patients with spinal hyperkyphosis<\/p>\n

Methods and participants: <\/strong>The study involved 27 people with fixed spinal hyperkyphosis (aged 5 to 60 years) who underwent X-ray examination. Of these, 8 people had control X-rays at the beginning and end of therapy. The effectiveness of the techniques was assessed using spinal X-rays with determination of the hyperkyphosis angle using the Kobb method. The method of hyperkyphosis therapy is complex and aimed not only at reducing the arc of hyperkyphosis. Along with this, it is important to get as close as possible to the optimal vertical posture. Therefore, in addition to evaluating the radiograph, photography with markings was used at least once every 3 months. Patients performed an individually selected set of exercises at home every day, which took no more than 30 minutes a day. Control consultations were carried out once a month and a half. The total duration of therapy was until the growth zones were closed (Risser index 4-5).<\/p>\n

Results:<\/strong> All those involved showed a significant improvement in posture and a decrease in the hyperkyphosis angle. In those patients who managed to completely eliminate hyperkyphosis and bring posture to the optimal level within a year, control X-rays were not performed. In 8 patients who had a control X-ray at the end of therapy, the improvement in the hyperkyphosis angle averaged 16%. Conclusions: As a result of the implementation of the method, which combines the methods of yoga therapy, exercise therapy and the SEAS method, the results were obtained that significantly exceed the results described in the review of the effect of physical exercises on the treatment of hyperkyphosis (Bansal et al., 2014). This method showed high results and can be used in the treatment of hyperkyphosis.<\/p>\n
